First Witness Testifies in Subotics Defence Next Week

The first witness of Subotics Defence is due to testify at a hearing scheduled for Wednesday, January 22.
The presentation of evidence at the trial of Zemir Kovacevic, who is charged with murders in Sijekovac village, Bosanski Brod municipality, is due to be completed that same day with presentation of findings and opinion by State Prosecutions expert witness Ramiz Dugalic.
Petar Mitrovic, who was released from prison, where he was serving his 28-year imprisonment sentence for having assisted in the commission of genocide due to the wrong application of law, is due to appear before Appellate Chamber judges on Wednesday.
Slobodan Jakovljevic, Branislav Medan, Aleksandar Radovanovic, Brane Dzinic and Milenko Trifunovic, who too were released to liberty, when the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina quashed their verdicts for assistance in the commission of genocide due to wrong application of the criminal code, are due to appear in court on Thursday, January 23 and Friday, January 24.
Hearings at which extension of prohibiting measures will be discussed in the case against Dragan Sekaric, who is charged with crimes in Gorazde and Visegrad, and Jovan and Goran Popovic, who are charged with crimes in Visegrad, are due to be held on Monday, January 20.
On that same day new Defence witnesses are due to testify at the trials of Dragomir Soldat, Velemir Djuric and Zoran Babic, who are charged with crimes in Prijedor in 1992, and Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Nihad Bojadzic and Zulfikar Alispago, who are indicted for murders in Trusina village.
The trial of Edin Dzeko for crimes in Trusina and Jablanica continues on Tuesday, just like the trials of Aleksandar Cvetkovic, who is charged with crimes in Srebrenica, and Predrag Milisavljevic, Milos Pantelic and Ljubomir Tasic for crimes in Visegrad.
On Tuesday a status conference is due to be held at the trial of Oliver Krsmanovic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad. On that same day the Defence is due to continue presenting evidence at the trial of Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, who are charged with crimes in Dretelj detention camp.
On Wednesday new State Prosecution witnesses are due to appear at the trials of Milun Kornjaca for crimes in Cajnice, Branko Vlaco for crimes in Vogosca and Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica.
On Thursday a pre-trial status conference is due to be held in the case of Indira Kameric, former member of the Croatian Defence Council, who is charged with crimes in the Bosanski Brid area. On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Nihad Bojadzic, who is charged with crimes in Jablanica, and Dzevad Salcin and Nedzad Hodzic for crimes on Mount Igman.
Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in Silos, are due to appear in court on Thursday.
One day later the trials continue in the case against Ibro Macic, who is charged with abusing civilians in Konjic, as well as Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Hariz Habibovic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic and Kahro Vejzovic, who are charged with crimes in Kladanj.
